Fairfield and Woods Managing Partner a 2010 Top Women Lawyers Finalist

Denver, Colo. (July 7, 2010) – Fairfield and Woods, P.C. managing partner, Caroline C. Fuller, was recently named a finalist in Law Week Colorado's Top Women Lawyers 2010. Law Week billed nine lawyers as their "Top Women Lawyers 2010" and 17 were named finalist.

Fuller practices in all aspects of commercial bankruptcy and out-of-court debt restructuring. She regularly represents debtors, creditors' committees, trustees, secured creditors, indenture trustees, and unsecured creditors in both reorganization and liquidation proceedings in bankruptcy court. She also represents receivers in state and federal court receivership proceedings.

Fairfield and Woods, P.C. has always promoted an environment that supports diversity and values the unique contribution each individual can bring to a client engagement. Several of our attorneys have progressed from clerical positions (while attending night law school) to full-equity positions in the firm. The most notable is Mary Brickner who was one of the first female partners in Denver. Mary joined the firm as a legal secretary in 1942, and became an attorney in 1958. In 1964, she was made a partner with Fairfield and Woods, P.C. This was at a time when most female attorneys were relegated to junior support positions. She practiced with us until her retirement at age 72.
