Litigation Paralegal
Fairfield and Woods, P.C. (FW) seeks a Litigation Paralegal who will assist attorneys by investigating facts, preparing legal documents, managing case documents, conducting research, and providing litigation support.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as a case manager for assigned cases proactively anticipating and performing case needs.
- Accurately calculating and docketing case deadlines with understanding of various court rules, procedures and orders.
- Interface with clients, witnesses, court staff and other legal professionals.
- Assist legal teams with all phases of the case from pre-litigation through post-trial.
- Assist with all discovery needs including disclosures, written discovery, depositions, and document productions. Take lead on collecting client documents, managing case documents, reviewing documents for relevancy, privilege, and drafting of privilege logs.
- Prepare legal correspondence, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
- Prepare for trials, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, etc., including preparation of exhibits, witness and exhibit lists, arranging for service of subpoenas, scheduling witnesses, and coordinating with vendors and court personnel. Attendance at hearings or trials may be required.
- Foundational knowledge of and experience with e-discovery platforms such as Relativity and Eclipse.
- Attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:
- 5 plus years litigation paralegal law firm experience.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Knowledge and skills necessary to manage cases from inception to post-trial and beyond.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal court rules, procedures and e-filing systems.
- Strong computer proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, AdobePro, NetDocs, SurePoint/LMS+, or other time entry systems.
- E-discovery and database software experience, i.e. Relativity, Eclipse, etc.
- Familiarity with legal research software, i.e. Westlaw or Lexis.
- Advanced skills using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Webex.
- Case management, deadline docketing, and trial experience.
- Ability to work effectively and proactively within a team environment.
- Strong time management, organization skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Initiative, flexibility, resiliency, and a willingness to adapt to change.
- High level performer who values integrity, professional responsibility and personal accountability.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with litigation matters from county court to appellate courts, administrative courts, and arbitrations. Specific expertise in construction defect litigation is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
The starting hourly range for this position is $36.06 - $42.07 based on education and experience. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
