Whether it’s a small case or a complex multiparty matter, I ensure that each case is provided the same robust attention and focus and walk hand-in-hand with my clients to ensure the best possible result is achieved.

Bio

Laura draws on nearly 20 years of experience as a litigator representing individuals and corporations in a broad range of areas including commercial litigation, construction, contract disputes, real estate litigation, insurance, premises liability, and torts. In addition to her litigation practice, Laura also handles alcohol beverage licensing matters.

It is this experience and broad knowledge base that allows her to provide extraordinary guidance to her clients. Whether it’s a small case or a complex multiparty matter, Laura ensures that each case is provided the same robust attention and focus. Laura walks hand-in-hand with her clients to develop a strategy to reach the best possible result.

Laura has tried cases to juries, courts, and arbitrators throughout the state. In 2017 she obtained the 12th highest jury verdict awarded in Colorado. Despite her trial experience, Laura is committed to reaching settlement whenever possible. To that end, Laura has settled many “un-settleable” cases. For example, Laura achieved a no-pay settlement in a multiparty case in which the plaintiff sought $17 million total and $1 million from her client.

Laura has been selected as a Rising Star by Colorado Super Lawyers (Super Lawyers recognizes no more than 2.5% of attorneys in each state as Rising Stars based upon peer recognition and professional achievements). In 2020 she was appointed by Governor Polis to serve as a 1st Judicial District Judicial Nominating Commissioner. Laura’s professional memberships include the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association, Colorado Women’s Bar Association, the National Hispanic Bar Association, and the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association.

A multi-generation Colorado native, Laura’s roots run deep here and she is committed to making a difference for future generations. Her community involvement has included leadership roles in various organizations with a focus on increasing/supporting diversity within the legal profession (one of the least diverse industries).
