A client is a friend with a problem

Charles J. Beise, 1909 - 1983

Fairfield and Woods, P.C. brings our long history in Colorado together with new approaches and full-service capabilities. Founded in 1934 by Golding Fairfield and James Woods, Fairfield and Woods, P.C. is one of the oldest law firms in Denver. Today, our lawyers practice a broad range of both general and niche business areas.  We continue to be one of the leading commercial law firms in the Rocky Mountain region.

We partner with clients in a broad range of legal and business areas including traditional areas of corporate law, real estate and litigation, as well as some of the more innovative areas needed to support today’s important initiatives: GreenTech, business succession, intellectual property, and finance. We also help clients effectively transfer wealth and family businesses to the next generation.

Our attorneys are qualified and experienced in virtually all areas of business law, including litigation and dispute resolution. Several of our attorneys have joined us after successful careers in business and government, to provide us with a greater understanding of the issues currently faced by businesses in today's highly regulated environment.

Fairfield and Woods, P.C. values its relationships with its clients.  We heed the words of Chuck Beise, a long-time Fairfield and Woods, P.C. partner, by treating our clients as our friends and doing our best to support them in their endeavors. Many of our clients have been with us for decades. And our current attorneys carry on the tradition of service and value that has been a hallmark of Fairfield and Woods, P.C. since 1934.

Our size and scope make us unique and allows us to provide full-service solutions to our clients, along with support in very specific areas such as employment law, environmental law, and securities litigation. We can offer a level of efficiency and service often unmatched in our industry. Our size allows us to preserve the friendliness and collegiality of a law firm in which all attorneys and staff know each other on a first-name basis, and in which clients are considered friends of the firm. We strive to provide to each of our clients the individual attention that is essential not only to solving the current legal issues facing that client, but also to anticipating and addressing future problems. We look forward to long-lasting, beneficial relationships with our clients and the community.
