Bio

Lori counsels business owners and families on business succession planning, real estate succession, legacy planning, and litigation related to trusts, estates, and family issues. For nearly two decades, Lori has developed unique solutions for high-net-worth families and small business owners looking to plan for the next generation. In addition to experience in trust and estate law, Lori excels at providing family, business, real estate, and elder law counseling to her clients. She works in conjunction with financial, tax, and life planning professionals to craft custom solutions for clients, and she is passionate about helping Colorado families protect legacies.

Since starting her practice, Lori has specialized in working with sophisticated women- and family-owned businesses to create trust, estate, and wealth transfer planning solutions. She partners with clients throughout their lives, so when changes happen, she can update plans accordingly. Lori regularly works with families who need to adjust a legacy plan after the dissolution of a marriage, birth of a child, or other life changes that impact a client’s goals. She also has experience restructuring entities and organizations to preserve family businesses and legacies. Clients rely on Lori to help them navigate complex estate planning matters, and she excels at finding unique solutions and clearly communicating the realities of each strategy.

Lori has a depth of experience handling probate administration and litigation, and clients often seek her out after an estate has entered the probate system. In addition to managing an extensive portfolio of probate litigation, Lori has experience with guardianships, conservatorships, and she has served as guardian ad litem through the Colorado judicial system. She also currently serves as the Public Administrator for the 13th Judicial District. A former chair of the Elder Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association, Lori is well aware of the challenges her clients face as they age, and she has a depth of knowledge handling Medicaid and Medicare issues.
